Doubly terminated Kunzite (New Find)

A gorgeous, gemmy and lustrous, vibrant lilac kunzite crystal from a NEW FIND at the less well-known Oceanview Mine from July, 2010. The water-clear crystal is beautifully striated and is doubly terminated. Both terminations are pristine and while the long edge is cleaved, you barely notice it on the display view. The C-axis shot really shows the fabulous lilac color saturation. Outstanding, gem-quality cutter material from this new find, that is featured in a recent issue of Rocks & Minerals. Good timing! 67 grams. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $100, for free. A super piece for the size range that the miners valued at $1500-1800 and worth it.
