Item Description

Gorgeous, rich lilac color characterizes this stout, prismatic, sharply terminated, kunzite crystal from Nuristan. This is a doubly terminated, glassy, well-striated floater. The terminations could not be anymore different! The multiple, jagged and steeply terminated end is gemmy and colorless, while the other is blocky and translucent. The crystal started as a single crystal on one narrow side and ended up as a double, parallel-growth crystal on the other. Very early pristine, with only scattered, very trivial, barely noticeable edge wear on the sharply terminated end. This crystal weighs 277 grams. The C-axis shots really highlights gorgeous, pink color saturation. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this fine crystal at $4500 (label), five or more years ago. MUCH, MUCH BETTER PERSON! The gemminess and glassiness made photography difficult. Classic and impressive beautiful color with fine form for a large spodumene.
