Drusy Quartz on Rhodochrosite (Hauck Coll.)

A dramatic and sculptural, LARGE CABINET specimen from the famous mines at Cavnic and the Richard Hauck Quartz Collection. Sparkly drusy quartz totally coats the pretty, pastel-pink, rhodochrosite blades. The matrix is banded, botryoidal rhodochrosite, which the back and base of the piece reveal. Nearly pristine, trivial periphery wear is noted, but is certainly not a detraction. This is a very uncommon and extremely large, bladed forn of rhodochrosite from this noted locale. It is very seldom available in this quality and size. Valued at $1250-1500.
