Item Description

A gemmy and lustrous, bi-colored tourmaline from the famous Himalaya Mine. The core of this striated, stout beauty is classic "Himalaya pink", but a thin outer rind of yellow-green gives a slightly different look to this zone. The upper portion is a very pretty bottle-green capped by a moderate-luster, olive-green, pinacoidal termination. The basal termination is broken and healed and includes a green zone. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a bit of out of sight termination edgewear. A small wedge of embedded feldspar at the base on the back is out of sight. Classic older material from the 1970s or 80s. 67 grams.
