Item Description

A 5.4 cm doubly terminated bi-colored tourmaline is the focal piont of this elegant combination specimen from the most famous tourmaline locality in Pakistan. The tourmaline is aesthetically framed by the jackstraw oxide-coated cleavelandite blades. A very narrow pretty pink is at the frosted trigonal termination. Gemmy bottle-green is followed by light olive-green, with the body being translucent olive-green to opaque black or olive-green. The basal termination is lilac with olive-green areas. Complete all-around. The tourmaline is pristine. A couple of broken cleavelandite blades on one side are barely noticeable and are mostly out-of-sight on this fine 360-degree combination. A classic Stak Nala combination from the late 1980s or early 1990s. Ex Uwe Strauss Collection.
