DT Calcite (fluorescent) on Quartz

Item Description

A striking, 7.8 cm, doubly terminated, translucent calcite crystal composed of a myriad of frosted stepped-growth calcite rhombs is dramatically set on the sculptural large matrix plate of blocky drusy quartz crystals. The small calcite crystals and rich preferential coating of chlorite on the quartz crystals adds contrast and pizzazz to this very fine and artistic large combination. The large calcite is pristine. Pink fluorescence. Common in the 1980s and 90s, you don't see many calcites around anymore in this combination quality and size from Irai.
