DT floater Quartz included w/ Fluorite

A striking doubly terminated, floater, quartz crystal included with numerous purple fluorite octahedrons to 3 mm. The tapered, lightly frosted, preferentially etched and coated, water-clear quartz crystal is complete all-around, very nearly pristine, with only the most trivial bit of edge and termination wear. This very uncommon find from Madagascar a few years ago represented one of the few new sensations at the Tucson Show. These remain an impressive and highly representative example of this rare Madagascar combination. No more have been forthcoming. This is definitely one of the better specimens we got in the small lot we obtained and was just uncovered from the recent move.
