Item Description
A classic floater crystal of the pretty pink rubellite variety of elbaite tourmaline from a well-known pegmatite in the Oxford field. The tapered crystal is highly lustrous, translucent and very well striated. Doubly terminated, as we believe both ends are broken and healed. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a minor broken sidecar crystal on the back. This mine has been closed to collecting in recent years. Older material from the 1960s or 70s or earlier from the Clyde Hardin Collection. 4 grams.
