Item Description

A beautiful, gemmy and lustrous, bi-colored example of recent finds from the famous Barra de Salinas Mine. This classic, polychrome tourmaline is a doubly terminated scepter. The well-striated beauty has a gorgeous, vivid pink base, that abruptly changes to gem-clear, emerald-green. The very interesting, 3-sided, pyramidal termination is yellow-green and has interestingly etched faces. Complete all-around and pristine, except the angled sidecar crystal is broken at both ends (out of sight on most views). The base is etched, so this is actually a doubly terminated sceptered tourmaline. This is an excellent and gorgeous bi-colored tourmaline scepter from this renowned locale. 11 grams. Valued at $500 or more. ex Steve Smale collection
