Sparkly, microcrystalline chlorite coats and lightly etches the sharply and complexly terminated, water-clear, quartz crystal from this uncommon and much less well-known Swiss locale. This is a doubly terminated crystal. The sharp, single termination is strikingly contrasted by the broken, healed and regrown base with a myriad of glassy stepped-growth terminations which are also coated with chlorite! The striking crystal cluster is complete all-around and pristine. Even the contact on one prism face is healed and overgrown with chlorite. Ex Howard Belsky Collection.
