Item Description

A beautiful and aesthetic specimen from the famous 1998 find at the Lilly Mine of Peru. A striking, water-clear, doubly terminated, gypsum variety selenite crystal is included with tufts and individual crystals of gemmy, green atacamite blades. These were at first wrongly marketed as "brochantite inclusions in gypsum". A trivial bit of edgewear is noted and one side of the crystal is cleaved, but is certainly not a detraction to this striking piece. Not too of these were recovered. Ex Larry Krause Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
