Item Description

A striking, extremely sculptural, CABINET, smoky quartz specimen from New Hampshire. The smokies are translucent, very glassy, well-striated and have pleasing, variable color saturation. The terminations are lighter colored than the bodies. The two largest crystals are doubly terminated, which is nifty. The bit of attached feldspar matrix is a super accent. I really like the form of this piece, with the secondary smokies jutting off at all angles from the main crystal. Very trivial termination wear and a contact in the center of the main crystal are noted. These have very minimal impact on the overall impressive appearance of this fine piece from an uncommon locale - Bartlett Moutain. Ex Schlichter Collection.
