Item Description

Dufrenite is a rare, secondary mineral of calcium, iron phosphate commonly found in iron ore deposits and in vein gossans. This thumbnail specimen features olive-green Dufrenite botryoids on a layer of Psilomelane. A few of the broken botryoids reveal the radial growth pattern of the Dufrenite. This fine, old-time piece comes from a classic Cornwall locality - the Wheal Phoenix. The piece is accompanied by a handwritten, label from an older collection. Old classic material and very hard to find on the market these days.
