Item Description

A rarely seen example of beautiful rich green Duftite from the world famous Ojuela Mine. Gorgeous botroids of Duftite cover the underlying matrix and are associated with sparkling, vitreous colorless Calcite. No real damage to speak of, save the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. This old material, easily dating back to the 1960s and very hard to find on the market today. If you collect Mexican minerals or specifically minerals from Ojuela, don't miss out on this attractive old timer. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#959). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
