Item Description

A fine quality and beautiful specimen of the classic Dyscrasite from the world-famous and ancient silver producing region at Pribram. Dyscrasite is an interesting species as it is chemically a silver antimonide, and not terribly common in fine crystallized specimens. As a matter of fact, aside from Saxony, Germany, the only other European region to produce excellent Dyscrasite specimens is Pribram. This particular specimen features sharp, well-formed, prismatic, silvery-black crystals of Dyscrasite measuring up to 1.2 cm sitting on matrix. A great exampe of the hard to find silver species fro this historic region. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#11251). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
