Item Description

Edingtonite is a very rare member of the zeolite group and is only found in about two dozens localities around the world. Some of the finest examples of the species are found at the Ice River Alkaline Complex, in British Columbia. This piece features classic, sharp, very lustrous, fine quality, well-formed, prismatic orthorhombic crystals of white Edingtonite perched atop translucent Calcite matrix. An excellent representation of the material, which is seldom seen on the market today. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10205). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
