Item Description

This combination miniature of Tourmaline and Albite is representative of the finds at Stak Nala through its mining history in the last couple of decades. The Tourmaline crystal is 4.2cm long and has a yellowish cap followed by 1cm band of green, gemmy Elbaite and the remainder of the crysstal to the base is essentially black Schorl Tourmaline. Elbaite and Schorl form a complete chemical series. Both the Tourmaline and the Albite have great luster. A portion of the Tourmaline has a cluster composed of thin blades of Albite (var Cleavelandite) that are partially complete, making for a great little combination piece.
