Item Description

A beautiful, classic tourmaline from the famous 1972 find at the Dunton Quarry. Most of this gemmy and lustrous, well-striated crystal is a pleasing teal-blue. The sloped pyramidal termination has a hint of pink and also colorless zones. Complete all-around, a bit of contacting is noted, but is mostly out of sight on the back. Certainly not a detraction. This is an excellent quality, seldom available, tourmaline from this historic locale. 14 grams. Valued $900. Ex Bob Borofsky Collection, owner of the Willaim Wise Fluorite Mine in New Hampshire.
