Item Description

A striking and very attractive larger specimen of azurite on malachite from the prolific Liufengshan mine. The sculptural, two-sided specimen features a multitude of sharp, very sparkly, navy-blue azurite crystals which have formed in nubby aggregates in the very 3-dimensional matrix of malachite and azurite. The azurites have fabulous and desirable, "electric blue" gemminess under strong light! The color contrast is just beautiful and truly resembles classic material from Bisbee, Arizona. This is a most excellent specimen in this size range. These specimens are commanding high prices, even from the Chinese dealers. Valued at $600-800. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!!
