Item Description

Emerald is classified as a type-3 gemstone which means that inclusions in the stones are acceptable in the trade for collectors and dealers. With that said, it is very difficult to find a "clean" Emerald that is over a carat. This stone, despite having a few inclusions, has a bright color for a stone this size. Keep in mind that Emeralds cannot be held to the same clarity standard that most stones are held to. The greatest aspect of this stone is the fact that it comes from the northern area of Brazil in Bahia, which is known for producing some great color Emeralds. This stone is a bright green, "Round" cut gem from this lesser known locality for Emerald. It's a unique locality gem and the color is great for the size.
