Item Description

Certainly, the most famous Emerald gems in the world are the superb stones from Colombia, but in the state of Bahia, Brazil there have been some limited discoveries of gem quality Emeralds. The top examples from Brazil nearly rival the Colombian gems in terms of quality and color, but they are obviously much less common on the market. Here we have a wonderful little "Oval" cut stone with a medium green color and some slight inclusions. Keep in mind that Emerald is classified as a "Type-3" gemstone which means that inclusions in the stones are acceptable in the trade for collectors and dealers. With that said, it is very difficult to find a "clean" Emerald that is over a carat. A very attractive example of these uncommon stones from Bahia.
