Enargite (fine classic material)

Item Description

A good quality, classic specimen of the beautiful Enargites from Butte, Montana. Many of the top Enargite specimens in the world have come from this area, and this piece is a showy and really attractive small cabinet display specimen featuring many highly lustrous / splendent, sharp, striated, metallic grey-black crystal measuring up to 5 mm associated with Quartz and Pyrite on matrix. These bladed, textbook crystals feature flattened terminations and look great up close. There are some broken crystals, so the piece is not pristine, but you can find several crystals that are undamaged. The piece comes with a fairly rare label from dealer Sal Avella who owned Apple Valley Minerals in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
