Item Description

When it comes to rare gems, one of the stones that most collectors don't have in their collections is Eosphorite. Most Eosphorite crystals aren't "gem quality" to begin with, so it's very difficult to find material that will yield a faceted stone, and when you consider that most Eosphorite crystals are fairly thin, you really need a bit of luck to find a piece of Eosphorite that it clean enough and thick enough to produce a gemstone. The best source for gem-grade Eosphorite is Brazil, but the majority of the good material came out years ago, and very little has been found in the last 20+ years. This stone is a lovely example of this rare material with a glowing peach-orange hue and a "rectangle" cut. Like most Eosphorite gems, there are some visible inclusions, but it's extremely difficult to find a completely clean Eosphorite gemstone. If you've been searching for a good example of this beautiful and rare gem, don't let this one get away. It's the only one we have to offer, and we never know when or if we'll have another one. I've seen a few of these stones priced at $1,000 per carat from an online dealer, so they are clearly rising in value.
