Item Description

A fantastic old time Italian Alpine Epidote specimen featuring excellent, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, olive oil colored crystals measuring up to 5 mm on matrix. It's not easy to find such good quality Epidote crystals from the Italian Alps like this, but the true value of the piece lies in the fact that it once belonged to the legendary mineral dealer Lazard Cahn (the namesake for Cahnite) and comes with one of his old labels from 80+ years ago. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12789). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
