Item Description

A classic "fan"-shaped group of sharp, lustrous, prismatic, dark-green colored crystals of Epidote with associated Quartz from the famous locality at Pampa Blanca. The piece is in great shape overall on the display side, but it's not 100% complete on the back. A very showy and aesthetic representation of this fine material from Peru. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#7583). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
