Item Description

Tabular, highly unusual, pseudo-hexagonal epidote from a 2011 find at this obscure Pakistan mountain range, which has produced world-class brookite, anatase and amethyst specimens. The highly lustrous near floater crystal is pistachio-green to nearly black. The two sides are distinctivly different. One is mirror-like and the other has a rippled lustrous texture. The side car crystals on both sides add sculptural pizzazz. The large crystal is nearly pristine, with only a small contact at the base. A couple of bruised side car crystals are certainly only a modest detraction. Fascinating and exotic two-sided Pakistan epidote. And it's magnetic, due to embedded micro magnetite crystals.
