Item Description

Epistilbite is much less common than stilbite from the Deccan Traps of India and this is a superb specimen from Jalgaon. A stunning, 4.0 cm, bowtie of sawtooth-like, translucent, colorless, parallel-growth epistilbite crystals is very aesthetically set in a curved vug in basalt matrix filled with very glassy botryoids of sparkly, gray, drusy quartz. The smaller epistilbites are a super accent. Superb and rare material from Jalgaon. Very aesthetic! valued $400-500 for excellent quality way beyond the norm for these
