Item Description

A very hard to find specimen of a well known species. Everybody knows that good Erythrites are found in Morocco, but pieces from Wittichen are very difficult to find. This piece features small fuchsia-pink colored radial groups of actual crystals of Erythrite on ore matrix. The piece looks BEAUTIFUL up close and this is an exceptionally RICH specimen compared to everything I've seen. I don't know specifically which locality in Wittichen this piece came from, as there are several where the species has been reported, but it's superb quality and the display side is loaded with crystals. Valued at $1,250. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6249). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
