Item Description
Eskolaite is ultra rare chromium oxide and this excellent and very rarely available specimen is from the famous Type Locality - Outokumpu, Finland. A lustrous, 4 mm, sharp trigonal, black crystal is jauntily set on the edge of sculptural, brassy pyrrhotite matrix. More eskolaite crystals are scattered on the matrix. Classic and excellent material from this noted locale from the John White Collection and acquired in October, 1968, according to his label.
