Item Description
A LARGE, complete all-around, doubly terminated, gemmy and intensely striated ettringite crystal from the famous Nchwaning II Mine of South Africa. The tapered, pinacoid termination is wonderfully gemmy. The overall shape and inclusions make this a very interesting ettringite. The basal termination is mostly complete, with a partial contact. This is a large and very highly representative specimen of the species and famous locale. Ex Rob Smith Collection.
