Item Description

Good quality specimens of Ettringite - especially pieces with multiple crystals - are not terribly common, and now that there is little material available on the market, they are certainly in demand. This small cabinet specimen features several sharp, well-formed, prismatic, soft lemon yellow colored hexagonal crystals measuring up to 1.8 cm long sitting atop a layer of white Oyelite on matrix. The reverse side of the piece features dozens if not hundreds of tiny black Hausmannite crystals for a nice touch. Two of the prominent Ettringite crystals are undamaged, while there is a spot in the center of a few of the secondary crystals that I would not call damage, but rather an interruption of growth in the pocket. A showy and good quality representation of these classic Ettringites from the N'Chwaning Mines. Priced at $1,500 in the inventory.
