Item Description
Faden orthoclase variety adularia is RARE from any worldwide locality and particulary so, from the less well-known Grosstal of Switzerland. Specimens of any species are rarely seen on the market from this locality. This is a spectacular, upright cluster of glassy, transparent to translucent, elongated to stacked, chevron-shaped, adularia crystals. Most of the crystals have distinctly visible fadens running their length. The crystals are nicely accented with chlorite on the back side. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine. Terminations of four of the five primary crystals are pristine, with the fifth being gently bruised. Superb and unique material from this locale. Ex Belsky Collection. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON and a superb piece from the Belsky Alpine collection
