Item Description

Lustrous tabular, striated jet-black ferberite prisms, two well-placed terminated quartz points and clusters of small, brilliant silver-metallic aresenopyrite crystals partially hidden in clefts form a dramatic and very aesthetic large two-sided combination. The sharply terminated ferberites reach 6.6 cm and both large quartzes are 5.3 cm. The ferberites are in great shape, essentially pristine. The two water-clear quartz crystals have some frosted faces and it's hard to see, that the central quartz has a contacted termination face and the other crystal has gentle brusing along a termination edge This fine combination is undoubtably from the famous Yaogangxian Mine, noted for such combinations. The well-known Xikuangshan, noted for superb stibnite specimens does not produce ferberite. Ex William Hiss Collection and valued $750-1000 for fine elegant assemblage and luster.
