Item Description

An adorable two-sided combination miniature from the famous Yaogangxian Mine from the older finds, probbly early 2000s. A striking, sharp, spearpoint blade of highly lustrous, well-striated jet-black ferberite dominates the front. A small patch of micro fluorites on the right side is a nice accent. The blade is aesthetically flanked and the back is entirely covered with lustrous, translucent, flattened, nailhead calcite rhombs. Both the calcite and fluorite fluoresce. Classic, aesthetic, essentially pristine, two-sided combination material. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 12556. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
