Item Description
A robust, light yellow Montebrasite crystal with minor Albite in association on this fine small cabinet specimen from Brazil. The transparent to translucent Montebrasite crystal measures 4.7 x 3.5 x 2.3cm and is well-formed with some faces transparent and act windows to the interior of the crystal while adjacent faces display a satin luster and reveal the crystal's tansparency. Subhedral, snow-white Albite along with a few Quartz crysal accent the piece and are found on one side and the back of the crystal. The other side shows a crystallized cast of where another Montebrasite may have grown. In excellent condition overall. A very rare piece, and with matrix. BETTER IN PERSON. ex Dr. Tom Campbell Collection, valued $1200-1500 easily - if you see in person, you will see a three-dimensionality and slight gemminess, difficult to convey here
