Item Description

Radial sprays of luminous reddish-brown to bronzy-brown to gray metallic foil-like pyrophyllite lathes richly cover two sides of the large matrix. Pyrophyllite, an uncommon member of the Pyrophyllite-Talc Group, is a classic species from this well-known locale, famous for excellent rutile, lazulite, goethite, hematite and turgite specimens. The lathes reach about 2.0 cm on this impressive, large, rich and older piece. Valued at $500-650.
