Item Description

The polished face of the sawed agate nodule shows beautiful, rich honey-brown with fabulous highlights of electric-green and orange. Excellent cutting material. 344 grams. I would estimate that 10 percent of this nodule is cutter grade fire agate. Deer Creek fire agate is known to Arizona collectors and the lapidary trade, but apparently not widely to the mineral market as MINDAT does not feature a specimen from this locale. Ex Dave Stoudt Collection # 175 and purchased from Bisbee dealer Chuck Youngblood in April, 1988, according to his catalogue.
