Item Description

A dramatic, large specimen of stacked, twinned, fish-tail gypsum crystals. This impressive piece has lustrous, translucent crystals with a frosted look. Complete-all-around and nearly pristine, with only a trivial bit of edgewear, which is amazing for such a soft mineral. An outstanding cave gypsum from this less well-known Mexican locale. It was generally thought, that these were from Naica or Santa Eulalia. Classic, older material from the Robert Fender Collection, dating to the 1960s or 70s. The base has been sawed to enhance the considerable display quality.
