A showy, old-time and classic, bladed azurite "ball" from the famous mines at Chessy, France. This EXCELLENT piece is a PRISTINE, FLOATER. SELDOM are floater balls available in this quality. The ancient Chessy mines were closed by the end of the 19th century and this is a fine example of a classic form and species. Ex Harvard and Dick Jones Collections.
