Fluor-uvite - Uvite Series (Tourmaline) with Magnesite

For many years, we labeled all these specimens as Uvite Tourmaline, but it's important to note that these crystals are now defined as being part of the Fluor-uvite - Uvite series, and unfortunately they cannot be distinguished visually. With that said, it appears that most pieces that were labeled previous as Uvite are likely to be Fluor-uvite, but we are labeling these specimens going forward as Fluor-uvite - Uvite series. This toenail sized piece features several fine quality, tabular, trigonal crystals of a dark green color with high luster and excellent gemminess associated with colorless to white, very sharp, lustrous gemmy Magnesite crystals. The Fluor-uvite - Uvite crystals measure up to 1.3 cm, and look beautiful up close. Very good quality, excellent overall form and aesthetics, and no major damage. A great specimen of these world-class "Uvite" crystals. This piece comes with a hand-written label from Paul Lowe.
