A sculptural cluster of classic, hexagonal, glassy and gemmy, zoned-green apatite crystals highlights this showy, 3-dimensional, multi-sided combination from the famous Panasqueira mines. The stout gemmy apatite is 3.0 cm tall and the adjacent wrap-around apatite is 3.0 across. The tabular quartz crystals, to 2.6 cm, are a fine complement. The matrix is covered with clusters of oxide-tinted siderite disks and pearlescent muscovite plates, typical accessories. There are more apatites on the back and bottom of the piece. Typical yellow apatite fluorescence. Some noted periphery wear is minimally detracting. A classic, highly representative and showy apatite combination from the famed locale, from an important historic collection belonging to Richard Hauck of Franklin.
