Item Description

Here we have a fine quality, beautiful soft purple colored crystal group of Fluorapatite hosting several beautiful, gemmy, tabular hexagonal from this famous an Alpine "cleft" deposit in Pakistan. The crystals have sharp faces with good luster on all sides. The final touch to these wonderful Apatite crystals is that they features inclusions of dark green color acicular Actinolite (var "Byssolite"), make for a nice accent. The crystals are certainly gemmy, and purple/lilac is arguably the most sought after color for the species. The front/display side of the specimen is in excellent shape, but there is some incomplete growth/roughness on the back where it was removed from the pocket wall. It's still a great "Alpine-type" Apatite specimen from what is one of the greatest areas in the world for the material. Keep in mind there are plenty of "Alpine"-type minerals found in Pakistan that look similar to their European counterparts, and this one reminds me of similar pieces I've seen from the Austrian Alps (specifically from the Mörchnerkar), the biggest difference being if this particular piece were from Austria, I could easily see it priced at $10,000 or more. This is a really good one folks, and you'd be hard-pressed to find another with multiple crystals of this size and quality anywhere else on the market, so don't miss out on picking this one up for a great price!
