Item Description

Unusual Mexican Fluorapophyllite-(K) from Guanajuato, an area known for great Amethyst, Calcites and Silver sulfosalts. This small cabinet sized specimen is festooned with numerous sharp, prismatic crystals, up to 1.7 cm in length, that are translucent with a pearly luster and are clear to milky white in color. These terminated crystals are oriented in all directions and display both horizontally and vertically. The crystals are resting on a matrix of Quartz, possibly a very faint lavender Amethyst. Some periphery edge wear is noted but the crystals are in excellent condition. A rare locality specimen both for Zeolite collectors and Mexican mineral collectors. You just do not see this material on the market! Ex. Kurt Hefendehl Collection.
