Everybody knows Fluorite as a mineral species, but there are deposits of un-crystallized Fluorite in various world localities that are highly prized for their lapidary value. Fluorite is found in virtually all colors of the rainbow, and are one of the few gems that occur in multicolor stones. This stone is from Argentina, and comes from a trusted source so I know that it's authentic. You can see that the center of the stone features a gorgeous "ribbon" of imperial purple color in the middle of blue-green Fluorite. It's a very attractive gem with a "Cushion Cabochon" cut. A beautiful stone that would make for a great piece of jewelry or as a fine addition to your gem collection.
