Item Description

A fine Fluorite specimen from the highly-touted finds at Riemvasmaak, South Africa of circa 2008. This is unusual for the combination of quality, size, and translucency in a specimen that is 360 degrees all around! Gemmy and with a nice, satiny luster, these uniquely-colored, deep mint-green Fluorite octahedrons range up to 3 cm on edge, with just about all sizes represented. The crystals are densely intergrown, and complete with only a bit of contacting (not damage) on the back and base. The presentation side is in very good condition, and there are so many fine crystals that there are several good viewing angles to choose from. Excellent fluorescence and fine aesthetics highlight this small cabinet piece from the famous Riemvasmaak. These are contemporary classics, of the early 2000s. Not replicated since! A fine example, valued $4000-5000.
