In the last few years, plates of emerald-green, octahedral fluorite have been mined from this locality. Still, large specimens of this calibre are not all that common and usually sell for a good premium. Recently, mining seems to have gone down a bit in efforts, and the market has absorbed most of what was out already. This large cabinet specimen is a solid plate of lustrous and translucent, octahedral, emerald green fluorite. The crystals are slightly frosted but beautiful and nearly pristine and, given the sheer number of them, most impressive overall. The largest crystal measures 5.5 cm across. A hefty piece at 1700 grams. Valued $2500
