Item Description

The famous and iconic Fluorite specimens from the Tule Mine in Múzquiz are some of the most recognizable Fluorites from any Mexican locality. This beautiful small cabinet features cubic crystals of Fluorite with a beautiful purple hue on the exterior faces are overgrowing a translucent and nearly colorless "core" of Fluorite underneath. The densely intergrown Fluorite crystals have stepped-growth faces accented by darker purple edge "phantoms". No damage to the top / display side, but the piece is contacted around the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. This is a classic style of Fluorite from this noted Mexican locale. This piece reminds me of a lithograph from famed graphic artist, M.C. Escher
