Item Description

A beautiful contemporary classic Fluorite specimen from the famous Rogerley Mine. This particular piece is actually from a discovery in 2009 when these impressive specimens were making headlines all over the mineral collecting hobby. The wealth of good specimens at the time provided collectors with a great opportunity to own fantastic Fluorites from one of the most prestigious lead and iron mining districts that dates back to the 13th century! This specimen hosts several incredibly gemmy (some are WATER-CLEAR!), sharp, slightly modified, penetration twin cubes of Fluorite measuring up to 1.8 cm aesthetically sitting on matrix. The crystals have that distinct green color that Rogerley pieces are known for plus the beautiful purple fluorescence in sunlight. Additionally, the crystals show a desirable purple-white fluorescence under LW UV light! Despite a bit of roughness to a few of the cubes, the piece is still in great condition, but the amazingly smooth faces and great transparency in areas is what makes the piece so intriguing. A worthwhile display quality specimen of these well-known Fluorites. Priced in our inventory at $4,000.
