Item Description
A beautiful small cabinet display specimen of fine quality cubic Fluorite from Marienberg. Sharp, lustrous, GEMMY, soft green colored cubes of Fluorite with slight purple edges measure up to 6 mm on matrix. Many of the crystals are notably WATER CLEAR and you can see right through them to the underlying matrix. Most of the crystals are damage free, though there are a few bruises. For the quality and arrangement of the crystals, this is a very worthwhile specimen of this old classic material from Germany. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6064). The piece is accompanied by a label from Harvard University (Pearse Collection). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
