Item Description

A beautiful display piece featuring wonderful Fluorite crystals from the well-known Clara Mine. Very sharp, GEM quality cubes of very pale greenish / blue (nearly colorless) Fluorite measuring up to 1.0 cm can be seen all over the bladed white Barite (stained orange by iron) on this this attractive small cabinet display specimen. The quality is excellent all around, save the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket. A great piece to add to a German collection, a secondary mineral collection or a suite of German classics. Every Fluorite collection needs to have a good Clara Mine specimen. Valued at $950. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#D.1080). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). A wonderful German classic from the famous locality. Approximate value is $700-$800.
